IDPA Dimensional Box - IDPA GUN TEST BOX
Idpa Gun Test Boxes, the dimensional boxes are essential for the shooters who participate in the competitions of the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) . They provide a reliable method to make sure that weapons comply with the dimensions established by the IDPA regulation (Rulebook 2024) , thus avoiding the risk of disqualifications during the races.
The boxes were carefully designed to verify that the weapons adapt within the requested dimensional limits and are in line with the IDPA regulations for each category of competition.
For shooters, it is essential to be able to evaluate the size of your weapons precisely. This check is crucial, since the inspection of weapons may not take place at the beginning of the competition, but rather during a specific phase of the tournament, where both the weapon and the ammunition used are examined.
IDPA weapons measures by division:
- SSP/ESP/CDP : For all these divisions, weapons must enter the IDPA test box that measures 8 3⁄4 "x 6" x 1 5/8 "(22.22 cm x 15.24 cm x 4.12 cm ) with the larger charger inserted and which allows the lid to close completely.
- CO : For the Carry Optics division, a Test box IDPA Full-Size modified with an opening to host the perspective is used. This is achieved by measuring about 1 ″ inside both corners and cutting the side to create an opening that continues to adapt to standard firearms from pistol and weapon port with an empty charger inserted and that allows the lid to close completely ( MD/ CSO Handbook IDPA )
- CCP : The weapons of this division must enter the Dimensional Box IDPA of measure 7, 3/4 "x 5, 3/8" x 1, 3/8 "(19.68 cm x 13.65 cm x 3.49 cm ) with the largest charger inserted and which allows the lid to close completely.
- Bug : The weapon with the longest charger inserted must enter the IDPA dimensional box that measures 6 1⁄2 x 4 5/8 x 1 3/8 inches (16.51 cm x 11.74 cm x 3.49 cm) With the largest charger inserted and which allows the lid to close completely.
